Screenshot (54).pngMessage: This week marked the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. The question that remains is simply this: Is the Reformation Over? Many say it is. But if there is an ongoing need of Reformation, what should it look like going forward? Join us this Saturday at 11am as we conclude our series Reformation Reborn: What’s next?

Things Happening:

Look who I caught installing our new playground benches/picnic tables!

Message: The call of the Protestant Reformation was a call back to the doctrine of Scripture and the apostles, a call back to primitive Christianity, a call for Truth. Today, the Seventh-day Adventist church is the inheritor of that legacy. Join us this Sabbath at 11am as we present the formation of the Seventh-day Adventist church in our series celebrating 500 years of Protestant Reformation.

Things Happening: This past Sabbath at Riverview was special.

It was great going for a walk in the afternoon at paint creek:

Would you take your faith more seriously? I’ll bet that you might. Join us as we discover how this anticipation of Jesus’ return transformed the Protestant Reformation as we continue our series, “Reformation Reborn: The Great Advent Awakening.”

Screenshot (48).pngMessage: Have you ever struggled to extend grace to others as Christ gave to you? Have you ever struggled to give others space to make mistakes? If you have, you are not alone. The Protestant Reformers did too. And as a result, an element rose up known as the Radical Reformation. Join us this Sabbath at 11am as we continue our series Reformation Reborn.

September 14-28

Worship at Riverview was a blessing two Sabbath’s ago. It was great to see how many children the Lord has blessed us with. It is great to see our Sabbath School classes growing. Join us for Sabbath School every morning at 10am.

I had the privilege of sharing a worship thought with some young men at a golf course this week. One of the young men came to me and shared that God had given him a dream the night before that specifically tied in with the message that I shared. He is making some major steps to dedicate his life to God. What a confirmation of the fact that whenever we step out to do something for others, God can bless our efforts exceedingly, abundantly above all we ask or imagine!!!20170927_124923 Just for kicks, I was spying in someone’s house…can you guess who this is? Back in their younger days…

tipping pointMessage: There comes a point in any movement of reform at which it becomes necessary to break with the status quo and tradition of the past. A tipping point, if you will. Jesus Himself said, “I did not come to bring peace but a sword.” Matthew 10:34 Join us this Sabbath as we continue our series with a sermon titled, Reformation Reborn: The Tipping Point.

September 1-7

Message: Have you ever suffered defeat? Chances are you have. But the defeats of this life are not always what they at first appear. Jesus said, “34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:34-38 Join us this Sabbath as we learn about a God who turns defeat into victory for all who are faithful as we continue our series, “Reformation Reborn: The Bohemian Reformation.”
